「みんな自分の好きなものでできている
好きな音をひたすら集めて鳴らそうと思った」

Sayaka Tanimoto、新しい音の世界を描く3枚目のアルバム。
これまで8bitサウンドをメインに作詞・作曲・トラックメイキング・ボーカルを自ら行い、ポップなエレクトロニックサウンドを発信してきた谷本早也歌。楽曲提供はテレビ番組からウェブCM、スマートフォンアプリゲームなど多方面に渡っている。
3年ぶりの正式リリースとなる今作のタイトルは『mizuiro』、作家名義もローマ字表記に改め「水」をテーマにした音世界を描く。エレクトロニカやアンビエントの要素をより中心に据え、柔らかな電子音やフィールドレコーディングがキラキラとした透明感によって混ざり合っている。
雨の日、悲しみの涙、故郷での思い出など、日常的な風景から内なる記憶にまで触れるようなパースペクティブを持ったSayaka Tanimotoの新しい音の世界。

「雨は静かに唄い、いつしか音は踊り出す。目で見ることのできない情景」

『mizuiro』の下敷きになっているのは彼女のより個人的なプロジェクト“i my me mine”名義で2019年に自主リリースされた同じタイトルの作品。そこでは「雨の日」をテーマに携帯アプリnanoloopの音を様々に加工し、すでに独自の詩的な音像世界が完成していた。
自身によって再構築するにあたりテーマを「雨」からより広く「水」と捉え直し、より普遍的な表現として更新している。

「水と同じように、日常的に私の中で音楽が流れている。水と音楽の在り方の感覚は似ていて、私にとって無くてはならないような存在」

アルバム作品には5組のアーティストが参加、Moskitoo、H.Takahashi、sawakoなどいずれも国内外を問わず高い評価を得ている作家がRemixを提供している。
また本作のために尾柳佳枝が描き下ろしたアートワークが彩を添える。

「雨、水溜り、川の流れ、海、蛇口から流れでる水、涙、身体を巡る血液。水から色んなものを連想していくなかで、様々な水の姿とその記憶や景色を描く様々な音」


"Everyone is made of their own favorite things.
I thought I'd just collect all the sounds I like and make them sound."

Sayaka Tanimoto's third album depicts a new world of sound.
Tanimoto has been creating pop electronic sounds by writing lyrics, composing music, making tracks, and singing vocals, mainly using 8-bit sounds. Her music has been featured in TV programs, web commercials, smartphone application games, and many other fields.
The title of this album, her first official release in three years, is "mizuiro," and the artist's name has been changed to Roman numerals to depict a sound world with the theme of "water. With a more central focus on electronica and ambient elements, the soft electronic sounds and field recordings blend together with a sparkling transparency.
Rainy days, tears of sorrow, memories of home, etc., are the perspectives of Sayaka Tanimoto's new sound world, which touches on everyday scenes and inner memories.

"The rain sings quietly, but soon the sound starts to dance. A scene that cannot be seen with the eyes."

The basis of "mizuiro" is a work with the same title that was independently released in 2019 under the name of her more personal project "i my me mine". In that work, she had already created her own poetic soundscape by processing various sounds from the mobile app Nanoloop under the theme of "rainy days".
In reconstructing this work by myself, I have reinterpreted the theme from "rain" to "water" more broadly, and updated it to a more universal expression.

"In the same way as water, music flows inside me on a daily basis. I feel the same way about the way water and music are, and they are indispensable to me."

The album features remixes by five artists, including Moskitoo, H.Takahashi, and sawako, all of whom are highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad.
The artwork drawn by Kae Oryanagi for this album adds to the color.

"Rain, puddles, rivers, oceans, water flowing from faucets, tears, and blood circulating through the body. As we associate water with various things, various sounds depict the various forms of water and their memories and landscapes."
